How To Remove A Block In Drupal

There are so many content management systems that can help you build your own website today. In fact, creating your own web page can always be possible when applying techniques used on content management systems. Drupal remains a free and open source content management system offering users with a lot of flexibility. From research, it is clear that Drupal can be used to effectively customize pages. One great method that Drupal can offer users on web page customization is through a device called blocks. However, you have the liberty of placing these blocks anywhere on a given web page. It will in-turn help your page to hold polls, menus, RSS feeds, pictures, and just to mention a few. In case, you no longer need the presence of blocks in Drupal, there is every possibility to get rid of it. This article is dedicated to unleashing great ways of helping you get rid of blocks in Drupal effectively.
To start the process, you will have to log in to your Drupal web page. This can be done through the administrator password and username. In most cases, the default username is admin. Your Drupal theme will determine the location of the log in box. In some cases, you may find it on the sidebars of the page. You can as well find it in the footer or header. In case you misplace your password, ensure to click on ''Forget Password.'' You will be given another new password to access your Drupal account through email message.
Once you have successfully logged in, ensure to check for the administration menu. Depending on your Drupal setup, you may find the administration menu in another location. On several occasions, you will find it located in a block usually on one corner of the sidebars.
Now, you will have to navigate on ''Site Building'' area of the dashboard. Once you are able to achieve this process, ensure to click on ''Blocks.''
On the block page, you can scroll down. You can continue to scroll down until the required block is found.
To remove the block easily, ensure to click on the ''Delete'' button.
Finally, you will have to click on ''Yes.'' This is when you are asked to confirm that a selected block would be eliminated.
